Dr. Dale Stringer
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Stringer has been practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery in Riverside for over 30 years. He also is a professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center where he has taught in the Oral and Maxillofacial residency program for over 30 years.
After graduating dental school from the University of Iowa, he entered the United States Air Force and received his training in oral and maxillofacial surgery. After ten years of active duty, he began his Riverside practice and re-entered the reserves in 2000, retiring in 2009 with the rank of colonel. While in the Air Force, he developed a special interest in orthognathic surgery (repositioning jaws to correct skeletal/dental deformities of the face), and now performs over 300 of these surgeries annually.
Dr. Stringer has authored numerous articles in scientific journals and textbooks and lectured nationally and internationally on surgical techniques he has innovated. He has made multiple trips to India and Vietnam volunteering to train developing countries in orthognathic surgery procedures.
